  1. Ha! I’m assuming you have some kind of data to back this up, but you should know that Macon is actually a great place to live. People have been working hard to revitalize the city and its working! We love Macon!

  2. Kind of strange that all the cities named were south of Atlanta. I think his facts could be less than truthful or maybe his research was not as thorough as it should have been! His reasoning is definitely flawed! In a big city like Atlanta there are naturally more jobs and income is higher. How many people were murdered in Atlanta last year? Take a city like Eastman. (And I am not from Eastman). 20 years ago lots of people there carpooled to work at Robins AFB.. There was a shirt factory and the Lithonia Lighting Factory in Eastman employed people. Plus people did a lot of farming all over South GA. Lithonia has since closed its doors, folks were paid to plant pine trees instead of farming and probably most of the folks who worked at Robins are retired. It is sad to see the decline of so many cities in our state, both big and small. Maybe the reasons behind their decline needs to be addressed. Loss of jobs and so many folks on Welfare; jobs going to China, Mexico, and other countries; government regulations and high taxes on businesses; the government paying people not to farm their land and our food being imported from other countries. Cities all over America are damaged by a government that pushes globalism and socialism on to its people . The end result just shows up more quickly in small towns. People need pride and dignity in themselves and purpose in life. May God bless and rescue America!

  3. I notice most of the streets have very little traffic on them. The worst place to live is where you spend hours a day creeping down the highway trying to get from one place to another. Every time I travel to a large city, especially Atlanta, I keep asking myself why in the world would anyone want to live here. This author’s idea of the bad life does not agree with mine.

  4. So you obviously have it out for the southern half of Georgia! How about reporting on how bad Atlanta and surrounding areas are to live also!

  5. Who T.F. did this survey anyway? I mean if you can call it that. I didn’t hear from anyone who actually live in these places. F.O. if you get my drift. I Love Small Town Georgia.
