  1. Kansas City…better watch your back? Get outta here with that. This author is full of shit. I work everywhere as a lineman. It’s not that bad.

  2. Okay, when he was talking about Emporia, I don’t know whose high school that was but it wasn’t Emporia’s, old or new! And not being able to pronounce Osawatomie? Not to mention how he insulted many people from many towns in Kansas. This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Wichita only #10? Topeka not on the list? Clueless!! Kind of like David Foxe above who didn’t know there is an Independence, KS…………….

  3. And where are any Western Kansas towns? I’ve lived in or been to all the towns on this list. It’s generally BS with at least one misrepresentation per town. Yes, SEK has problems. It’s long been the most economically depressed area of the state. But I never had to bolt anything down in Pittsburg for fear it would be stolen. I did, however, have a hard time just breathing in Dodge City and Garden City because of the repulsive stench from the feed lots. This piece was clearly put together by someone who has no depth in knowledge of what the indicators they used mean or how to compile the info in a truly journalistic way, let alone never having done more than driven through a town or two on the list. Amateur.
