This year’s least thankful cities list includes places where things didn’t go so well in 2015.


It’s been a good year for America in 2015.

However, for some cities in America, there isn’t a lot to be thankful for. We wanted to explore which cities in the greatest country in the world have the least to be thankful for this year.

We based our analysis on which cities have the worst economies, fewest jobs, worst weather and most crime.

Here are the 10 cities in America that have the least to be thankful for in 2015:

  2. Hartford, Connecticut
  3. Bridgeport, Connecticut
  4. Paterson, New Jersey
  5. Detroit, Michigan
  6. New Haven, Connecticut
  7. Elizabeth, New Jersey
  8. Miami, Florida
  9. Cleveland, Ohio
  10. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

In order to rank this year’s least thankful cities, we had to determine what criteria people don’t have to be thankful for.

  • Low incomes
  • Low home prices
  • Few of sunny days a year
  • High crime
  • Long commute times
  • High cost of living
  • Low marriage rates

If you’re on this list, we feel bad for you. You don’t have a lot to be thankful for this year.
