We all love the biggest cities that the Golden State has to offer. You know the places like Los Angeles and San Diego which make all the headlines.

But there are a bunch of other great large cities in California that don't get as much love.

We're going to change that right now.

Using the most recent Census data, we can tell you about all the places in California with a focus on the biggest. We update the data each year and this is our fourth time doing this.

You can click here to see a full table of the full of the 100 biggest cities in California, along with every other place over 1,000 people big. It is sortable by clicking on the headers.

Read on below to see more on the biggest cities. Or for more reading on places to live in California, check out:

How We Determined The Largest Cities In California

We've been ranking and dissecting cities in the Golden State for over 4 years now -- making this actually the fourth time we've run the numbers. We always use the best data, the US Census. In this case, that means we are using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

It what is probably the most simple analysis we run each year, we ranked every place in California from biggest to smallest. The biggest city this year? That would be Los Angeles.

The smallest? Kernville, although there are places smaller than 1,000 people not listed here, so keep that in mind as we take a look at the top ten.

Is very diverse. A lot of things to do and places to go. I love LA.

Bad things are extreme traffic and too many people make things expensive.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF GREAT THINGS TO DO IN SAN DIEGO. YOU CAN LITERALLY GO TO THE MOUNTAINS, DESERT AND BEACH ALL ON THE SAME DAY. THE SCHOOLS ARE EXCELLENT, THE WEATHER IS GREAT AND THE PEOPLE ARE GOOD

THE BEACH, THE MOUNTAINS, THE WEATHER AND THE PEOPLE IS WHAT STOOD OUT THE MOST ABOUT SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA. IT IS WORTH THE EXTRA COST OF LIVING TO LIVE THERE BECAUSE IT IS AMERICA'S FINEST CITY INDEED.

San Jose, officially the City of San Jos, is an economic, cultural, and political center of Silicon Valley and the largest city in Northern California. With an estimated 2016 population of 1,026,908, it is the third most populous city in California and the tenth most populous in United States. Located in the center of the Santa Clara Valley, on the southern shore of San Francisco Bay, San Jose covers an area of 179.97 square miles. San Jose is the county seat of Santa Clara County, the most affluent county in California and one of the most affluent counties in the United States. San Jose is the largest city in both the San Francisco Bay Area and the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland Combined Statistical Area, which contain 7.7 million and 8.7 million people respectively.

Review Of San Jose by HomeSnacks User

The crime is very low if you are away from the east side. Even then, for a continually growing city of over 1 million. The local sports team is major league hockey so during hockey season, there is a lot of excitement going on in downtown. Culturally, there is a good mixture of all ethnicity so food selection is diverse. As more people move in for job opportunities due to the tech industry, traffic is getting worse and worse. Most people are here for the jobs and weather.

The thing that will be shocking about the place is the cost of living. A decent house will cost upward of a million dollars. Living here is a struggle unless you make a lot of money. Everything is expensive, especially rent. If you live anywhere near a big tech firm, prepare to pay a lot for that luxury. As mentioned before, traffic is a nightmare. Going anywhere during rush hour and on major freeways like the 101 will take forever. Due to property prices, many have no choice but to commute and sit in traffic - adding an extra 1-2 hours to their workday.

The city is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The ocean views are magnificent, the restaurants are also some of the worlds finest. The negative aspects are the price of real estate and cost of living.

I love Golden Gate Park, Fishermans Wharf, The Cliff Hose Restaurant.

Review Of Long Beach by HomeSnacks User

I moved to Long Beach to attend Cal State University Long Beach. Honestly, it changed my life. I grew up in a different suburb in California, but Long Beach is so different. I wouldn't necessarily live here for my whole life, but it was definitely worth coming here for college. I like coming back and visiting here to see my friends.

My favorite thing about Long Beach is that there are honestly always places to go to, and it's not too far to go to other fun cities like LA. It's not too quiet but never too loud either unless you live somewhere that is filled with college students. The weather is great, too. And of course, we're near a few beaches, so that's great.

Review Of Bakersfield by HomeSnacks User

Narcotics capital of California. Homelessness worse than Los Angeles. Crime moving in Southwest side of Bakersfield, sad because only good thing going for this town. Prostitution on Union Ave day & night. Roam free like nothing.

Not much to do except for Kern County Fair. Movie theaters, parks, few tiny malls. Not much of a night life.

Downtown taken over by crime.

Safest place hang out is on Buck Owens Blvd aka The Blvd & Crystal Palace.

Review Of Anaheim by HomeSnacks User

Anaheim, California is a very clean city to live in. The city is fairly new and the buildings elegant, the streets are clean and people are friendly. There is diversity in the city of Anaheim, CA. The food in this city is exceptional thanks to its diverse population. The most fascinating attraction located in this city is Disneyland. Disneyland is an awesome place to bring family and little ones to enjoy the weekend of a holiday, definitely it is a fascinating world.

Disneyland stood out more to me. The place is a world of wonders. The food at the attraction is mouth watering and people in there are educated and friendly. The rides in the park are fun and entertaining. The bad thing about it is that the tickets are too expensive.
