We all love the biggest cities that the Sunshine State has to offer. You know the places like Jacksonville and Miami which make all the headlines.

But there are a bunch of other great large cities in Florida that don't get as much love.

We're going to change that right now.

Using the most recent Census data, we can tell you about all the places in Florida with a focus on the biggest. We update the data each year and this is our fourth time doing this.

You can click here to see a full table of the full of the 100 biggest cities in Florida, along with every other place over 1,000 people big. It is sortable by clicking on the headers.

Read on below to see more on the biggest cities. Or for more reading on places to live in Florida, check out:

How We Determined The Largest Cities In Florida

We've been ranking and dissecting cities in the Sunshine State for over 4 years now -- making this actually the fourth time we've run the numbers. We always use the best data, the US Census. In this case, that means we are using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

It what is probably the most simple analysis we run each year, we ranked every place in Florida from biggest to smallest. The biggest city this year? That would be Jacksonville.

The smallest? Crescent Beach, although there are places smaller than 1,000 people not listed here, so keep that in mind as we take a look at the top ten.

The crime is low and the schools are wonderful. Anyone should be lucky enough to live here and enjoy the warm sandy beaches.

My favorite place is Wendy's, oh man do they know how to cook a burger.

Do not enjoy going to Arby's that place is just nasty.

Review Of Miami by HomeSnacks User

My family gave me a tour where they reside and from where they used to live, the crime was bad. They ended up moving 10 minutes away from that area due to the crime and them not knowing it wasn't safe. They confirmed a lot of gangs lived near by and even SWAT had to come out. I enjoyed seeing the palm trees, the weather, and all of the fun spots they have that Cleveland, OH doesn't.

What stood out is the night life and the night life you can have even if you have a family. I went to a couple of casino's that were nice inside and out and I enjoyed seeing spots like a karaoke bar, this really cool bowling alley with good music, food and a hookah bar outside of it. The restaurants were interesting and I would like to try them the next time I come back, the different art stores/museums and Aventura Mall was a lot of fun!

Review Of Port St. Lucie by HomeSnacks User

There is crime everywhere you go but Port St. Lucie seemed to be low to moderate. The schools were awful. There are plenty of beaches, restaurants and some fun places to visit nearby.

The schools in Port St. Lucie are terrible. Coming from the north, I am used to schools being extremely helpful when my kids were struggling. Whether it was putting in place an IEP or just extra help. In Port St. Lucie their IEP options are limited. They believe that "pushing a child into their grade level" will help more than pulling them out and slowing down the learning. Pushing in means that a child who struggles to work on grade level work is kept in their grade level instead of working up to their grade level. This way of teaching causes added pressure and stress on a child. It does not help their confidence at all. I actually had to move back up to Pennsylvania because they were unable to help my child.

Crime was moderate. Schools were safe. Lived there for 14 years and I have all my family close by and the malls and grocery stores were convenient. Everything was close by.

My favorite place to go was the mall, chuckie cheese's when I was little, the park, library, ice cream shop, friend's houses, school was fun. Bad thing was that hurricanes hit hard there and blackouts happen along with robberies.

I love cape coral Florida because it is beautiful and warm. I love that it is right on the water. I love going boating in the canals. The prices at the store and restaurants are very reasonable. It is actually a pretty inexpensive place to live. We hope to move to Cape Coral Florida when we retire.

I love that you get to enjoy the sunshine and water. We like to go boating when we are there. I loved that there are lots of things to do, but you don't have the tourists like you do in other parts of Florida.
