How We Determined The Largest Cities In Florida

We've been ranking and dissecting cities in the Sunshine State for over 4 years now -- making this actually the fourth time we've run the numbers. We always use the best data, the US Census. In this case, that means we are using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

It what is probably the most simple analysis we run each year, we ranked every place in Florida from biggest to smallest. The biggest city this year? That would be Jacksonville.

The smallest? Panacea, although there are places smaller than 1,000 people not listed here, so keep that in mind as we take a look at the top ten.

Review Of Jacksonville by HomeSnacks User

I personally don't enjoy Florida in general due to my past experiences but Jacksonville was very trashy in my opinion.

The people! So many very trashy people.... a lot of dirty places, drug activity. It is just not a place I would go back to unless I absolutely had to.

I hear the schools are not very good, but that wasnt my experience with my kids. Both ended up going to Univ of Florida and graduating. A lot depends on the child too. The town has received a bad rep over the years. Hopefully that is turning around, it really isnt a bad place to live. My neighborhood in St Lucie West is lovely, everyone takes really good care of their home.

We are getting some nice restaurants, shops

I love cape coral Florida because it is beautiful and warm. I love that it is right on the water. I love going boating in the canals. The prices at the store and restaurants are very reasonable. It is actually a pretty inexpensive place to live. We hope to move to Cape Coral Florida when we retire.

I love that you get to enjoy the sunshine and water. We like to go boating when we are there. I loved that there are lots of things to do, but you don't have the tourists like you do in other parts of Florida.
