How We Determined The Largest Cities In Illinois

We've been ranking and dissecting cities in the Prairie State for over 4 years now -- making this actually the fourth time we've run the numbers. We always use the best data, the US Census. In this case, that means we are using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

It what is probably the most simple analysis we run each year, we ranked every place in Illinois from biggest to smallest. The biggest city this year? That would be Chicago.

The smallest? Beckemeyer, although there are places smaller than 1,000 people not listed here, so keep that in mind as we take a look at the top ten.

Review Of Chicago by HomeSnacks User

I had a fun time 'vacationing' there when I had to go for a week of conferences for a job. I enjoyed the nightlife and running around the city with friends. The Wyhdam OHare hotel staff were very nice and the hotel was modern and clean.

The trains were easy to take and very quick. Millennium Park was modern and new. And the free concerts there were very fun. The hotel and the shuttle services were also very easy to use and the staff was very nice.

Review Of Rockford by HomeSnacks User

Rockford is a crime filled, dirty city, with no one really caring you are there or not.

Looks of criminal looking people walking around and it was shady. Bad experience.
