How We Determined The Largest Cities In Minnesota

We've been ranking and dissecting cities in the North Star State for over 4 years now -- making this actually the fourth time we've run the numbers. We always use the best data, the US Census. In this case, that means we are using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

It what is probably the most simple analysis we run each year, we ranked every place in Minnesota from biggest to smallest. The biggest city this year? That would be Minneapolis.

The smallest? Keewatin, although there are places smaller than 1,000 people not listed here, so keep that in mind as we take a look at the top ten.

Review Of Minneapolis by HomeSnacks User

I used to love to visit Minneapolis/St. Paul. The city was clean and well-lit, the people were friendly and willing to help, and I did not feel uneasy while walking about the city.

Recently, an influx of Somalian 'refugees' flooded into the city/metroplex. These 'refugees' have destroyed many areas of the once beautiful city; turning them into slums and crime ridden areas. These people also cause civil disturbance and make visitors feel uncomfortable and add a sense of danger while visiting.

The weather s***s! Its now May, and we have snow up north-! Winters are freezing cold, summers are super hot with mosquitoes, the State bird! Taxes are ridiculous and the roads have potholes the size of Texas!

Stillwater is a beautiful city on the river, with lots of cute shops and restaurants, which is worth your trip!

Review Of Duluth by HomeSnacks User

Duluth is an awesome city in Northern Minnesota. It's amazing in the Autumn because the trees turn fiery colors. The forest becomes a rainbow of fall colors. I also love sitting on the shore of Lake Superior and watching the crashing waves. It's also fun to go down to the harbor and watch the giant ships pass through the channel. In the summertime you might be lucky if you get to see the Ancient Maritime ships. Duluth is also the home of Glensheen Manor, which is truly haunted, but is also famous for the movie with Patty Duke, "You'll Like My Mother". Duluth is a pretty hilly city. It's not flat at all as far as driving. There are a lot of unique victorian houses.

Favorite places would be the Maritime museum, watching the seagulls s****h food from people's hands. Also the Duluth Zoo and walking along the boardwalk. It's also just a hop, skip, and jump from Superior Wisconsin. The ship wrecks are really cool too!

Brooklyn Park is the sixth largest city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, upstream from downtown Minneapolis in northern Hennepin County. Brooklyn Park is a northwest suburb of the Twin Cities metropolitan area of Minneapolis-Saint Paul.

Review Of Brooklyn Park by HomeSnacks User

Brooklyn Park is one of those suburbs that I always knew coming up as a child growing up in Brooklyn Center. But for me Brooklyn Park wasn't as large as it is now. Growing up in the 70's 1980s most of Brooklyn Park didn't Go-no-further than 85th Avenue N, unless you lived along West River road going towards the C**n Rapids Dam. The area I live in is near the C**n Rapids dam in Brooklyn Park. The area has a very country feel in the summertime with the deer and some wild life that"s still in the area. I'm very glad that we purchased a home in 2016 in the area we live in which is around West River rd and 101st lane North. What also makes my area great in Brooklyn Park is that I'm near Champlin, Maple Grove and C**n Rapids area for Shopping. The only downfall that I find about this area is I feel there is a little bit of stereotyping because there's not a whole lot of African Americans in this area of Brooklyn Park compared to south of 85th Ave North. I tend to get stares sometimes from other people but that doesn't matter I still love Brooklyn Park and never will live anywhere else.

What stands out for Brooklyn Park is the C**n Rapids Dam area. What stands out negative is some residents that seem to act somewhat prejudice of people of color like their afraid that the area is going to get bad with crime because they see more African Americans in the area.
