How We Determined The Largest Cities In Pennsylvania

We've been ranking and dissecting cities in the Keystone State for over 4 years now -- making this actually the fourth time we've run the numbers. We always use the best data, the US Census. In this case, that means we are using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

It what is probably the most simple analysis we run each year, we ranked every place in Pennsylvania from biggest to smallest. The biggest city this year? That would be Philadelphia.

The smallest? Linesville, although there are places smaller than 1,000 people not listed here, so keep that in mind as we take a look at the top ten.

Review Of Philadelphia by HomeSnacks User

I loved living in Philadelphia for four years. I lived in West Philadelphia while I attended university in the city. I walked, took taxis, and took public transportation to wherever I wanted to go.

South Street is extremely fun, with a happening music scene and the beautiful Magic Garden. 30th Street Station is convenient and is a nice study in architecture. Additionally, there is an excellent fusion food scene, as well as a great brunch scene.

Review Of Pittsburgh by HomeSnacks User

It costs a lot of money to live in a decent neighborhood here - one that's easily accessible and has a low crime rate. There isn't much to do during your down time so it's hard to meet people.

If you're looking for entertainment after work, this isn't the place for you.

I like Erie because it is not overly large and there are many interesting places to visit. I especially enjoy Presque Isle, the state park that as 'almost an island' provides nice sandy beaches for sunbathing and swimming and pleanty of trails as well as boating and kayaking.

Presque Isle has many event that take place throughout the year even when the summer season has ended.

My experience isn't too bad. There is plenty of things to do like go to the park, mall or just walk around the city. The crime has increased throughout the years, and also the population has become more crowded.

I love going to Longs Park and getting some ice cream and walking around. It's a very peaceful place.
